Transportation Demand Management Plan GuidelinesTDM (Transportation Demand Management) is often referred to as a “toolbox” containing many strategies. The idea is to choose some, but not necessarily all, of the strategies that will be most effective based on the characteristics of the work site and preferences of the employer. The strategies listed below are typical of what you see in a Best Work Places program to develop TDM strategies and offered here as a guideline. 1. The TDM Plan can include the following primary strategies: Provide information about alternative transportation on the premises so that it is easy for employees to access and use; Offer one or more of the following primary commuter benefits:

Evaluate the TDM program using an employee survey and exceed a minimum benchmark of either 14 percent of employees who do not drive alone to work or an average vehicle ridership (the number of vehicles divided by the total number of employees of 1.12. 4. Maintain the TDM Program provisions and offer the program at least once annually. |
