The Greater Madison MPO and City of Madison, as its administrative and fiscal agent, assure that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 (P.L. 100-259) be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity. The MPO and City of Madison further assure every effort will be made to ensure nondiscrimination in all of its federally funded program activities.

Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the MPO or with the City of Madison Department of Civil Rights.

A complainant may file a complaint directly with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) by filing a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights, Attention: Title VI Program Coordinator, FTA, East Building, 5th Floor-TCR, 1200 New Jersey Ave., SE Washington, DC, 20590.

A Title VI complaint may be filed by completing and submitting the complaint form below or by sending an email or letter with the necessary information to:

As a subrecipient of federal transportation planning funds through the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), the MPO must execute an annual Title VI/NonDiscrimination Agreement with WisDOT that serves as the Title VI Implementation Plan.  See link below to the MPO’s most recent agreement:
